Amanda Lemke (She.Her)

M. Ed, LCMHC, LMHC

Amanda brings close to 15 years of experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families in community-based and outpatient settings. She serves as a Clinical Supervisor at our Amherst location and brings extensive experience in both direct clinical care and clinical leadership.

Amanda works with clients across the lifespan and has particular experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including autistic and ADHD clients. Her approach is neurodiversity-affirming and focused on helping clients better understand their individual strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world. She also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, parenting concerns, family and relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions.

Amanda takes a strengths-based, person-centered, and holistic approach to therapy. She recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health and works collaboratively with clients and families to develop strategies and supports that fit their individual needs, identities, values, and goals.

Her clinical approach incorporates mindfulness, motivational interviewing, play-based and creative interventions, and other individualized therapeutic strategies. Amanda strives to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive space that respects each person’s autonomy, lived experience, identity, and preferred ways of being. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to providing care that recognizes and respects differences rather than treating them as deficits.
