Insurance Coverage:

Healing Roots is in-network with many major insurance plans, including:

  • Anthem BCBS

  • Harvard Pilgrim

  • Optum / United Healthcare

  • Aetna

Coverage and benefits can vary depending on your specific plan. We encourage clients to verify their mental health benefits directly with their insurance provider prior to beginning services.

We will check the benefits reported to us by your insurance carrier prior to your intake.

We are happy to help answer questions when possible, though clients are ultimately responsible for understanding their insurance coverage and benefits.

Self-Pay Option Counseling:

We also offer self-pay options for therapy and evaluation services. Self-pay rates may vary depending on the type and length of service provided.

Self-pay rates range from $120-$150/session

Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement and provided monthly.

AD/HD & Autism Assessments:

Healing Roots offers neurodiversity-affirming autism and AD/HD evaluations for adolescents and adults. Evaluations are designed to provide greater understanding, diagnostic clarity, and individualized recommendations while honoring each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges.

Comprehensive evaluations include clinical interviews, screening and assessment measures, review of relevant history and documentation, diagnostic impressions, and a detailed written report with recommendations.

Comprehensive autism and/or AD/HD evaluations: $2,000

  • Yes. Healing Roots is in-network with many major insurance plans including Anthem BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum/United, and Aetna.

    Because insurance plans vary widely, we encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to better understand their individual mental health benefits, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket responsibilities.

  • Our administrative team will complete an initial benefits check prior to beginning services when possible; however, insurance companies do not always provide complete or accurate information. Clients are ultimately responsible for understanding and monitoring their own insurance coverage, deductibles, authorization requirements, and eligibility throughout treatment.

    If your insurance changes or you become aware of updates to your coverage, please notify our office as soon as possible.

  • Session costs vary depending on your insurance coverage and the type of service provided. Copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and self-pay balances are charged electronically through the client portal.

    Self-pay options are also available.

  • Yes. Healing Roots offers neurodiversity-affirming autism and AD/HD evaluations for adolescents and adults.

    Comprehensive autism and/or AD/HD evaluations are $2,000 and include interviews, assessment measures, diagnostic impressions, recommendations, and a written report.

  • Yes. We offer telehealth services throughout New Hampshire in addition to in-person therapy at our Amherst and Dover office locations.

  • Yes. Both Healing Roots office locations are ADA accessible.

  • Once we receive your inquiry, our team will help connect you with a therapist based on your needs, preferences, availability, and goals. Prior to your first session, you’ll receive access to the client portal where intake paperwork must be completed at least 2 days before your appointment.
